Ginaveve's Market Place & The Main Street Bean | Our Story

A New Chapter on Main Street

Ginaveve's Market Place & Main Street Bean has been a beloved fixture of Downtown Safford for years, and in 2025 it began a new chapter. Cade and Lacey Bryce, longtime members of the Gila Valley community, took the reins from founders John and Jenny Howard, promising to honor everything that made this place special while adding some fresh energy of their own. For Lacey, cooking has always been a love language. It started with sourdough and a micro-bakery called Sift Happens, which has now found a permanent home inside Ginaveve's. Everything in the bakery case is made from scratch, from the crusts to the custards, including signature sourdough breads, fresh cookies, and a rotating "Pie of the Week" with favorites like key lime and strawberry. We even bake loaves like our Green Chile Cheddar sourdough using Ginaveve's own Green Chile Olive Oil right in the dough. You'll still find all the customer favorites that made this spot a Main Street staple: daily paninis, breakfast bagel sandwiches, keto and protein bowls, our popular salad bar, and of course our wide selection of signature olive oils. Cade has also launched Desert Drip, our in-house dirty soda concept with locally inspired names like "The Highlight" and "Highway 191." We're proud to keep the traditions going, from monthly open mic nights to the warm, welcoming atmosphere Jenny built. Whether you're a longtime regular or stopping in for the first time, we invite you to pull up a seat and see what's brewing on Main Street.
